  1. Anybody have any suggestions on making the arched entry way that was built with sofits?
  2. I forgot to mention that when I get the camera view into the studs, I can see the other mouldings, but that moulding is just a few feet long and stops as the picture shows (attached), so I still do not know how what you did worked as there is no moulding there no matter what the moulding height is? I also checked to see if I had a hidden wall or something in the way of it building, but could not find anything. Dumbfounded....
  3. David, That would not explain why every other wall shows up and only the wall at the balcony does not, which makes me think that something with that wall is not right. The fact that you mentioned the 108" finished ceiling height, did make me realize, that I really wanted 120" finished on the 2nd floor, so I changed the entire 2nd floor to 120" with the and all of the mouldings too, but it did not make the moulding show on that wall? When I lowered the moulding to say 118", it would lower the other two walls for that room, but still did not show the moulding on the balcony wall? Not sure how you were able to get it to show? What you did, did not work for me?
  4. Thank you that worked, I just posted a different but maybe similar problem?
  5. Can anyone tell me what is causing the cut in wall; I have followed the camera view and can not see anything. The room (foyer) is named and the "balcony" is named "stab" because when I change it to "balcony" the interior wall at the top becomes unfinished? Attached is the plan. 12_9_20.zip
  6. I tried doors and archways, would not take, I assume that doors and doorways do not take unless it's attached to a wall and those are sofits?
  7. I am not finding anything on creating an arch in the middle of the to square columns in anything I have tried? Is there anything possible?
  8. Sorry, thought I had done this back then and just last week, was in wrong area, just did now. Thanks for the tip on cabinets, sofits ... attached picture of what I did so far, can you give an idea on how I would create the arch between the columns and/or the stucco around the two windows on the right side of the front door?
  9. Has anyone ever seen where the moulding in a room is only missing one wall at the top, all of the rest shows up?
  10. I am trying to recreate the closeup picture of the second floor balcony and front door facade and not sure where to even begin?
  11. How do I create the arch entry way which is not attached to the building; although the actual picture does not show this?
  12. Both the ones on the left balcony and over the front door
  13. Does anyone know how to create the front columns on the attached picture using Suite?
  14. On the deleting the cabinet, Z fighting, which is?? Where is the cabinet I need to delete?
  15. By any chance do you know where I might find a square column, there are only round ones in Suite?
  16. Just the terrain would require me to recreate the slope of the lot as I do not have a file to import, not worth the work?
  17. I fixed some of this already, I may do a few of these things, but everytime I change one thing, it makes something else not work in 3D and for me that's the bottom line.
  18. thanks again, here is the final I could do, still some issues, but no bad
  19. Thanks for the advice, just thought there might be an easier way. Guess I will live with what I got. I am in the process of rebuilding this house that I lost in the Napa fires in 2017. Since I have actual blueprints and permits, it is not really necessary to get it exact, but would be nice to get the feel of what it would look like with an open staircase, as you see the glass panels create this look and feel and thought if I could get "rid" (or make the wall conform to the stairs) wall between the stairs, it would do that for me. Glad to hear even Pro will not do that. Was thinking of upgrading to Architectural 2021, but may not if it does not add anything? Oh, every time I do what you stated, the landing between the stairs drops to the ground level and any adjusting does not fix it; maybe I need to play with it more, but I keep running into change one thing and it changes 3 others that I do not want....something Suite seems to do alot....LOL Thanks again!
  20. Has anyone upgraded from Home Design Suite 2020 to Architectural 2021? It is a $99 upgrade and want to know if the upgrades are worth it and if they found any problems with the Suite plans working in the Architectural imports?
  21. I looked at your Youtube vid, but I do not have the object list as whatever you are working in, meaning are you using Home Design Suite?
  22. I did a profile, should show up?? But using Home Design Suite 2020 Right is not having to patch with panels to enclose the walls around the staircase. Not being able to have "ceiling" under the stairs for the garage and wine room. Not having moldings show up on the staircase?
  23. I have stairs going over two different rooms and have not been able to get it right, have used room dividers and wall panels to enclose them, but still not right? Also because it goes over two rooms, the moldings from the room below shows up on the stairs. 12_2_20.zip
  24. As my first blog stated, Suite
