    Tilted

That worked - sort of. Now of course there is a "ceiling" shown which looks goofy. If I upgrade to pro would it enable me to place fixtures at whatever height I need and also allow me to manipulate as necessary?

Sometimes this program is maddening. As you can see by the pic, I have a beam placed in front of a wall in which there is a fireplace inserted. I'm trying to place a 4' track on the bottom side of the beam - centered on the fireplace. The program automatically places the fixture on the vaulted ceiling above the beam at the same pitch as the roof. I can grab the fixture and pull it down to about the right height but it retains the angle of the roof pitch - with no way to rotate it. Any ideas?

  1. In Suite 2019 there are a couple canned carports in the stock library. Not ideal but they give a good representation of both size and location. One shortcoming is the inability to adjust roof pitch. I just don't see where that can be done. What am I missing? You can see what i mean by looking at the attached pic.

  2. Howdy,

I'm using HD Suite - not Pro but have found that I can print to 1/8" scale then tape the letter sized sheets together and then beat feet for the nearest Office Depot or Staples where they can blow it up to 1/4" scale and print. Not saying that you would have to tape sheets together but rather that one of the mega office chain stores may be able to blow up your drawings to the desired size.

  3. Thanks for that very good info! So does the layering feature allow one to produce electrical plans showing outlet/switch locations, etc or even plumbing layouts? How about a truss plan? I will try the trial but your insight will save me some time and that is greatly appreciated.

  4. In HD Pro when printing or saving to thumb drive are the construction plans/layouts presented without all the items - like furniture, cabinets, flooring/wall coverings, etc?

  5. In Sweet 19 how does one measure or determine the height of gable end wall from the top plate to the peak? This would be handy in figuring out rafter lengths using simple rise/run calculations.

  6. Thanks David....Nicely done. I was just going to create shower walls using the soffit tool and put a door opening in one wall. Quick, easy and close enough. I appreciate your time.

  7. Is he the signature police? Yes, I already posted what version I'm using. So-does anyone have an answer? I may have confused the question by not mentioning I don't want a ceiling over the shower with the shorter walls. This allows me to use one exhaust fan.

  8. In Suite 2019 is it possible to change an interior wall height within a room? For example I have a walk in shower and I'm trying to set the wall height at 7'. The rest of the walls are at 9'. As you know, in 3-D when you try to modify one walls height all the walls follow.

  9. Just being lazy here but Is there a way to take a "slice" of area (width for example) out of the middle of a room? Example--I want to change the width of my Great room/Kitchen space from 37' to 36' without moving every item (like cabinets, tables, chairs, etc.) individually.
