    ICONDEV,

There is so MUCH that you can do to improve your 3d viewing.

    Examples:

    The deck fireplace.

The board & batten barn siding.

The interior fireplace...instead of saying corner fireplace/no hearth/beam mantle, make your own fireplace from scratch.

    Start experimenting!

Thank you. I know! I’m just doing what i can to teach myself this on the side (not my main job) through video tutorials and this super helpful forum.

I learn more with every single cabin I  design (built 4 so far!)  but I could never do it without this DIY software and all of the people help on this forum.

I will circle back and try and figure out the fireplace if you can point me in the right direction ;-)

    After placing the wall breaks:

Highlight the section, zoom in, and slightly off-set the section from the rest of the rail.  Then apply the changes.

    It Worked! Thanks!

  3. Thank you.  I have inserted wall breaks, but when I highlight the new section and apply the changes it changes the entire front deck rail instead of just the highlighted section created by the Break.

    Thoughts?

  4. Thank you BOTH. The file I attached was from another user, with a higher level, helping me fix a problem with my original plan's roofline. I won't have to import his if I can fix my own problem.

I searched the forums and tutorials, but I could not solve this on my own with my very limited experience.

I've attached my original plan. There's a hip in the middle of the shed over the LR. I cannot get rid of it.

I want it to look like the one attached on the previous email in which I was trying to import.

    THANKS!

    Only Pro imports DXF files.

If you have the plan, why not just draw it? Importing will only give you walls which are quick to draw.

I have Home Designer 2018, but I cannot import a DXF file. It's telling me the file type is not supported. Could somebody tell me how I may be going about this wrong?

I have a pdf of the design as well, but I'm unable to manipulate this like a plan I have drawn myself.

    Any help is appreciated.

  6. I know Architectural handles showers, but what's the best way to do a corner shower in Suite? I've built normal walls, and installed a hinged glass door, but It's running my walls all the way up to the vaulted ceiling above. I just want to cut it off at 10' and leave open.

  7. Thank you. I do use the materials tab within the wall dialogue box to make changes, but I'm trying to make a mass change to the interior panel-covering of all my walls. Rather than opening this box up and selecting the new material for each wall, is there a button I'm missing that allows me to make this mass-change to all walls? Thanks again in advance!

  8. signature updated. 2018 SUITE.

I searched variations of my subject line in the forum and videos section, but I haven't been able to return a result. Not just walls, but any mass changes to already built structure, I'm just looking for the easiest way to "replicate" a selection to ALL.

  9. I'm trying to change the interior and exterior wall coverings to my already created project. Rather than clicking into each walls specs and changing, is there a way to select them all? I tried "shift" and I tried retroactively changing the default settings of the walls, but to no avail!

  10. I'm creating a one-story with steep shed-roof, and I don't want any attic above either. When I go into my "build roof" it only gives me option to click "ignore (top) 1st floor." The tutorial shows it giving the radio-button option as "ignore (top) 2nd floor." How do I get the first floor ceiling to go away?

    Thanks!
