Why is my roof dropping into the first floor ceiling. How do I correct this.

Hopefully you've resolved this by now, but I just came across this thread while dealing with a similar issue where the roof was dropping into the top floor of a design I am working on.  To resolve this, I opened the Build Roof tool under the roof tool palette and checked "build roof planes" under the options.  If you made any manual tweaks to the roof planes, you'll want to make sure you check the box to retain any edited automatic roof planes as well.  After running this tool, the roof no longer was dropping into my top floor ceiling.
