TrippleG
Hi, I have a challenge designing an under deck storage room by extending the foundation and walls of the walkout basement. I want one of the walls to be framed with siding on the outside and drywall on the inside. Figured out the use of the pony wall to accomplish this by setting the height of the pony wall to 0". However, the framing of the siding wall does not show up in the framing view. Deleting the foundation wall on that side and putting in an exterior wall shows framing however it results in no footing which I want to retain. How can I have footings on four sides, foundation walls on three sides and framed wall on one side which shows up in the framing view? Using Home Designer Pro 2023 [Build: 24.3.0.84 Windows 64 bit] Thanks in advance.
TrippleG
I'm now realizing that framing is not showing up on any externally facing wall of Level 0. See attached image from perspective framing overview. Edited May 5 by TrippleG Changed pdf to jpg
TrippleG
I found a work around to getting the framing details to show on level 0 for the under deck storage area: Edited the wall type Created a copy of Siding-6 (called it Siding-6, UnderDeck) Deleted all the layers except the Fir Framing This resulted in attached view. However, this is far from ideal as i'll have to keep switching the wall type depending on what i'm trying to do (e.g. produce material list). I'm still very interested in how to get the framing view on level 0, i.e. foundation level wherever siding-6 or other wall type which has timber framing is being used. Thanks.
