Stairs on a split level

I've been struggling for years getting stairs to work on my split level. I just tried out the new version of 2023 hoping they made some improvements but still stuck in the same area (using Architectural). The issue is the stairs keep stopping at the top of the crawl space and not at the top of the second floor. In 3d, I get all these weird parts where the walls from the levels join but I have no problems like this anywhere else in the house.

 

Any suggestions/guidance on what I can do to fix them?

The view with the missing walls shows the steps stopping below the actual floor. Maybe it's nothing but just something I noticed. I believe the missing walls are coming from the upper floor but not sure how to get them to extend down all the way and make a proper joint with the lower level. Everything is aligned in reference view, just stuck here... Thanks anyone that can help fix this issue or assist me in doing so

That was extremely helpful thank you very much. Just something as simple as moving that hidden wall was all that I needed

 

Now to try and figure out why the walls are missing in those two spots

 

i agree that split levels are a pain in Designer
