Realistic materials

Recommended Posts

I just yesterday upgraded my copy Architectural to 2020 and love the new "Physically Based" rendering technique. What I'm looking for are tips as to how to get the most out of my materials to get the best possible render. I understand I will be a bit limited compared to a more "pro" product such as CA Interiors, but I think I can do better. Metals seem to be fairly good right out the gate, but wood and fabrics I'm having difficulty getting texture out of it. I'm used to working with bump maps in many other rendering tools, but it appears to lack that functionality.

Any tips or guidance to some would be greatly appreciated!

Search ChiefTalk for PBR info, but please keep in mind that ChiefTalk is for users of the Chief Architect branded products and it might be that not everything suggested there will work in Architectural.

You should be able to utilize any materials that have been posted.

Chief has done a really poor job of promoting PBR with documentation and videos.

Don't know if Architectural can export data that can be used by twinmotion.
