Is there a place in Home Design 2018 to change the default stair width to something different than 39"?
-
Found it just as you replied. Done deal! Solved my problem. Thanks!

I cannot find a "tri color" tool in HD Pro 17. Where will I find it?
-
Thanks David. Is there a tutorial on how to copy materials and use the Tri Color tool?

is there a way to show the framing under the exterior stair landings? Thanks in Advance! Ron 011

I need to show horizontal siding (Hardie) over the deck rim joist. When I change the material on the deck rim joist object to either Hardie siding (by mfg) or to generic siding from standard material library, I get vertical slats of siding. It appears it is rotating the siding material 90 degrees. Anyone tried this before? Suggestion? Thanks in Advance! Ron 011

Thanks Eric. I never thought of just changing the colors all to grey. I guess that is one of the reasons why Chief Architect costs more...

I cannot find a way to "screen" or "fade" items in a plan (or a layout). For example, in my electrical plan I want everything except the electrical items and walls to be faded so the electrical items stand out. How can I do that?

Thanks Eric! Never thought of that and didn't realize that was what the software was doing. I'm still kind of new at this program.

Most of the time (but not always) when i create stairs with a top landing against an elevated porch or deck it does not break the porch or deck railing. I remember that it has done it in the past, but I don't remember exactly when or what I did differently at the time. I am using Home Designer Pro 2017. Any suggestions? Thanks, Ron

Thanks David! This one is a little better than the first one I found. It didn't have the opening supports. I appreciate everyone's help. Hopefully at some point I will be able to give back...

Thank you Eric! I am a newbie here (but I guess you already figured that). I had not heard of the 3D Warehouse site. Looks like a wealth of information there! I found some Bahama Shutters there and was able to import them into my plan. I'm sure I will have lots more questions in the future. Thanks again!

Does anyone know of any downloadable libraries with Bahama style shutters? Ron
