  1. You might be able to model something like that in another program, such as Sketchup, then import it as a symbol if you version of the software supports Sketchup import.

     

    Custom modeling like that is a little outside the scope of the Home Designer software's capabilities or intended functionality.

  2. I DO check the box for "build floor framing" for subfloor for Floor 1, but I still do not see the floor framing in the plan view.

    This is normal,you would need to go to floor 0 to see the framing for floor 1 because it is actually under floor 1 not above it.

    Also, you will need to make sure that any layers you wish to see are turned on under the layer display options for floor plan view.

  3. That's not a work around, that's what everyone else that sent images of the plan did, including myself. The confusion came in because you said that you had already built that and it wasn't working.

     

    But I'm glad you were able to resolve it.

  4. The floor framing and rim joists are definitely missing from that view, but it's strange that none of us have any trouble generating the framing when we select Build> Framing> Build Framing.

    Are you clicking OK, or do you see any errors when you try it on your system?
