Thank you all, I think I will go with the soffit.

I would like to create a floating staircase but I am unsure of how to do that. I have posted a picture of what I am talking about. If you have any ideas please let me know, thanks.

Thank you all, I looked at the drop down menu so many times and read right over it.

I am trying to create a balcony inside the house, similar to the one shown in the picture. Every time I click to exclude a ceiling it never actually gets ride of the ceiling, when I try to drop the floor it creates a wall that is the entire height of the house on all sides. Does anybody know how to create an open space between two floors to make this happen?
