  1. Acropolis, you posted a picture of the specification for a hinged doorway, not a doorway.  They are different in that the hinged doorway has a door.  You really need to spend some time learning the software AND the terms used. A doorway has no door, it's just an opening between two rooms or even interior to exterior.  In fact, if you would turn off the interior casing display, grab the remaining door in the specification and spin it you could see both sides.  The casing will be GONE on both sides BECAUSE it's an interior door.   Edit: By default, the interior side of the door will face the direction that the door swings to open. If you prefer, you can specify that the interior side face the opposite direction in the Door Specification dialog.   However, in a doorway, again there is no door.  In that instance, the 3d preview in the specification dialog concerning interior vs exterior eludes me still.  But it's really not important if the idea is to remove the casing from both sides.

If you can't accept that a greyed out choice only means it's not relevant in the current context, then I think you are out of luck.  There is no fix as none is needed.

Post a plan.  Perhaps there is a problem, and semantics is hard.   You CAN deselect exterior casing on an exterior door but only on an exterior door.

I just saw DavidJPotter's  video in which he goes over these very items in a very easy to understand manner in response to another of your questions.

  2. It's been moved to 3D, Camera View Options, Toggle Reflections.  Works on my PC (2018 Pro Trial).

Also check to be sure under Preferences, Render, Troubleshooting, Use Enhanced Lighting must be checked.  If not, Reflections won't work.

  3. I have tried the new Home Pro 2018 on two Mac systems, both of which meet the NEW system requirements for 2018.  Camera views are a problem, especially 3D.   Usually the system stops (floating beachball of death)  and I have to force quit Home Pro 2018, I don't think it is sending reports back to Chief Architect.

    Both Notebooks are macOS 10.12.3.

Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB 1.7 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB

Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1526 MB 2.9 GHz Intel Core i5 8 GB

Both systems work just fine with Home Pro 17.  The older system with the Intel Graphics 5000 is a virgin machine freshly rebuilt this weekend, so there should be no conflicts whatsoever.  I will be sticking with Pro 17 for now.

  4. Bill, why paint colors don't show up in the Material List has bothered me for two years.  After all, one of the less expensive products has got "interiors" in the name.  Be that as it may, I contacted support about this.  It seems that if you open up a room object, you have an option for "wall covering".  You can select a paint color (core or manufacturer) and apply it.  This by default gives you a band of color, again, don't know why.  But you can play with the position to cover the wall.  Do a materials list, and tada, it's there under interior trim.  I have some doubts about the square footage, but at least the color is in the list.
