1. Wall height is controlled by room's ceiling height. You may also use Half Walls that do not reach to ceiling.

Roof Over this Room must be selected for roof to generate over rooms (it is already checked default over most room types but your plan has unchecked).

You misspell paraphet = should be PARAPET.

All Home Designer software has the break wall tool (under Build -> Wall -> Break Wall if you are unfamiliar with button appearance).

Agree with others that you are getting upset without understanding how the software functions.

Go through the User's Guide first to gain understanding, then look at the videos and articles and post questions on specific things you aren't sure of. Try not to get upset when asking for gaining understanding with others.

WINE is no good for use actual video card driver software, this is why it does not work good for 3D software.

  2. don't really know sketchup , but can't you Orbit the item in 3D just like here in HD and look at the top of it?

don't know exactly which model you got from that page above so can't try it at the moment sorry.

M.

Doesn't matter which model, all the ranges behave the same. The top view in SketchUp is the top view of the 3D symbol, it looks like the object, not the plan view Home Designer shows. Where does Home Designer get the line drawing from? Is that from SketchUp too? If so I cannot find it and that's where I need help. Thanks all!

  3. I have searched and searched but don't see any top view in SketchUp like what comes in Home Designer to fix! Does anywhere here use SketchUp and know how?

  4. My kitchen appliances just look like a flat grey in camera views, even when I apply metal materials from the Library. How can I make them like they are actually shiny?
