I would like to temporarily hide an object in my elevation view. I'm thinking if I could put in on another layer and disable the display for that layer. Is it possible to set the layer an object appears on?

Ok, I figured it out. I had to actually be looking at the camera view when I open the display settings. I was looking at the plan view. Thanks.

Yes, I did that and it's checked to display must be something I'm not doing. I've attached the plan file maybe that will make it faster to figure out what's wrong. Sitio Gravata 1 - Final.plan

Keith, Yeah, that doesn't work so maybe it's just not possible to show these items in elevation view.

Ok, I don't know how to make them visible in the camera view. What setting is it that controls that. I selected the camera in plan view and opened it but I don't see anything there. Would it be some where else?

They are where I want them. What I would like is something that shows me the dimensions that I set them at and not have to go back and figure out the positioning that I did since I was doing it all in real time and didn't document where I positioned them since I thought there would be a way to get HDP to show me.

I'm stuck on this one. I've put items on a wall, speakers, TV, amplifier, etc. and now I'm trying to find a way to get a view that I can see the dimensions of where things are in relation to the floor. The placement. I tried elevation view but it only shows somethings and I still don't know how to get the dimensions to appear. Any help would be appreciated.

Keith, Thanks for that tip. It worked except the after applying the mirror material it doesn't show the reflection.

How do I copy and paste a wall type?

I created a wall type that I want to user in different projects but I don't want to have to recreate it for every project is there a way to export and import it or share it some kind of way. I have Home Designer Pro 2020

Hi Eric, First let me say thanks for helping me with this on a Sunday. Second so since I define this a room type of "Porch" I can imagine it to be a room and then use the "structure" section to change the ceiling dimension? I if so how would I deal with the fact that the pergola is at an angle and one site is at 4 meters high and the other side is at 3 meter high

My idea was to create the wall the height I wanted then use the "Doorway" tool to make the opening.

How can I get past the railing height limit. I want to build a wall that is part of my outside patio that is 5 meters high but when I set the height under Newels/Balusters, since I made the wall a solid railing, it always jumps back to 3.2 meters and won't let me go higher than that.
