You did great! I would be thrilled if I could get it to look that good. So I will try again, but so far I can't get HD Arch 2025 to behave like that. Can you give me any more hints than what you show in the floorplan image? For example I tried the "floor 2 extended" room with ceiling height "0" and it didn't work like yours. Also, how does the extra wall across the bumpout work? Doesn't it block the interior space? And not sure I see why it would change the roof like you showed, but I can give it a try. I created a top view outline, see below, I hope that is helpful. The photos were taken from ground level but don't show it very well - we back up onto the woods so I would have to climb a tree to get a good view of it.

Yes, you have the front correct - awesome! Were you able to make HD Architectural do that? You may have the rear bumpout correct but I can't really see it in your image. I did post elevations above that tried to show the rear bumpout, but here are some closeups in case they help clarify:

@Jo_Ann So far I can't even duplicate the partial success that you had. I extended the second floor over the garage, creating an "attic room" with a ceiling height of "0", but no joy with the roof. I'm starting to think it will require features that are not available in HD Arch. Also, did you do something special to keep the hip roof over the "bumpout" in the back of the house to not extend all the way to the top ridge? I need it the way you showed it but mine is not behaving that way.

@Jo_Ann: Ah hah, so what you are saying is create a "dummy room" over the garage, and set the front wall to a ceiling height of "0", yes? I will give that a whirl and see what I can get it to do. Thanks for your efforts!

You're on the right track, but not quite there. The front plane of the gable on the right extends farther forward and meets the garage roof down lower and towards the front of the garage. Right-side and front elevations attached below:

Tried to generate pictures of what HD is doing now, please see attached. A lot of it is correct but no idea how to get the roof lines over the rear part of the garage to behave. Maybe there is a tutorial or a video, but when I search nothing seems to cover a scenario like this. Although I'm sure I don't know the correct search terms to use...

I have a plan built in HD, but the automatic roof does not generate the way I need it. Please see the attachment for the desired end result. The roof on the left-hand half of the house generates correctly, and I also can get the gable roof at the front of the garage. But how do I go about forcing HD to generate the gable all the way to the rear of the garage and also force the location of the gable on the right-hand side of the house toward the rear of the house?
