  1. Thanks Eric. That was an easy fix for the ceiling height. Any idea how to lower the rafters down onto the floor?
  2. Working in Home Designer Pro 2025. I'm working on a 1 1/2 story home and need to make sure the height from the 2nd level subfloor to bottom of 2x4 rafter is 8' at tallest point. The rafters are not sitting on the floor at the exterior but are up about a 1.5' from something I did earlier that I can't seem to undo. I just need to lower the rafters back down onto the subfloor to get the right height I believe. Another goof thing is when I adjust the ceiling height the program doesn't lower it consistently in the room. Any help much appreciated. Halverson as is 1.plan
  3. Eric, a thousand thanks! Your help is invaluable and I love the roof design you suggested, an obvious (once seen) and simple solution that we are going to use. After seeing how you were able to change the upper pitch on the shed roof I realized I was mostly doing the same steps in HD Pro 2019 but it wasn't working. I downloaded the trial version of Pro 2025 and it worked just fine, so I guess we will chalk this one up to "out of date software problems". Again, many, many thanks!
  4. Help for a beginner! I'm using HD Pro 2019 and want to lower half of a shed roof without changing the lower half which is continuous with the rest of the house. The main roof pitch is 6/12 but I would like to lower the height of the high shed roof wall buy bringing the pitch down to 4/12. Nothing I've tried works. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks! 5. I'm a fairly new Home Designer user having trouble with a gable roof on a 1 1/2 story. One of the long hip walls has a 1' bump out and can't figure out how to lower that wall so that the roof is one solid plane. I tried creating a separate room where the bumpout is and adjusting ceiling height but that didn't work. See screenshot. Any help greatly appreciated.
