  1. I don't understand what the signature is for, or how it helps anyone else. Can you explain?
  2. How can I drop a flat ceiling inside of a flat roof house? I watched the "Custom Ceiling Planes in Home Designer Professional" video and it does not work for me. I've been struggling for a few hours and there must be an easier way? I need to drop the ceiling height in some bedroom and especially the reach-in closets. But when I do so, the roof changes... I need the roof to stay untouched while I drop a new flat ceiling underneath it, essentially creating an attic space. Any advice?

  4. After creating my flat roof, I wanted to drop the ceiling height for some sections of the home. I'd like for the space above the dropped sections to become an attic/vented crawlspace. How can I maintain a level flat roof line, while also dropping the ceiling underneath of it? How do I do it? Here's a pic Thank you!
  5. This is probably very simple, but I can't figure it out ... : After creating my flat roof, I wanted to drop the ceiling height for some sections of the home. I'd like for the space above the dropped sections to become a 4' attic/ vented crawlspace. How can I maintain a level flat roof line, while also dropping the ceiling underneath? Here's a pic Thank you!
  6. I'm using 16" Concrete Stem Walls for this project, and the walls are grey color by default. I changed the material color to WHITE - on both the interior and the exterior. HOWEVER - the jambs are still GREY concrete and I don't see an option in the "materials" tab to revise them. Is it possible to paint the jambs to match the interior and exterior color? See image below. (I've tried clicking around for almost half and hour and I can't find out how to do this) THANK YOU!
  7. I have home designer pro and I'm wondering if there is a way to do a "live" mode where the ceiling fans can "turn on" and begin spinning around? The ceiling fans have long down rods and I want to cross check my recessed lights' beam angles to be sure they don't create a "strobe effect" from the spinning fan blades. Is there a way to achieve this?
