I've done this with the soffit tool to make tile-to-wood transitions; make the soffit 1/4 inch thick and apply the appropriate material. Not ideal, but it works and you can try different configurations easily.

I have HD Pro 2017. I have discovered that I can create and save Wall Elevation Views, which is very handy. However, I can only have 2 saved at once. When I close any further Views I create, the program simply closes them without asking if I would like to save them. I have looked in the Reference Manual but it does not really address this. I have also checked my Preferences and Default Settings but do not see any way to increase the number of saved Wall Elevations. Are only 2 allowed at any given time? Have I missed something really simple? Any help is appreciated.

Hello, I recently upgraded to HD Pro 2017. I am having difficulites with the terrain perimeter in that I can't see it. In the Layers Menu, the Terrain Perimeter is checked (so it should display). The program indicates that I have a perimeter - the Create Terrain Perimeter option is grayed out in the Terrain drop-down menu. However, when I select Clear Terrain from that drop-down menu, nothing happens and the Create Terrain Perimeter option is still grayed out. Could anyone tell me what simple thing I have missed? Thank you all for the replies. In desperation, I closed everything and re-started my computer. Unbelievably, that solved the issue. Perhaps my computer was angry with me? IDK. I may have to start making offerings to it. Or I may start drinking. Thanks again

Thank you for the replies. Solver: I can't actually delete that wall. I get the "Automatically generated wall" dialoge box. I can't even move it. DJP: The first thing I did was to check that my walls are aligned; they are. I also thought that my half-walls in the attic space were causing it but deleting them also didn't remove the wall. That pesky wall only shows up when I delete the 2nd floor porch off the plan. I've also deleted the roof and rebuilt the roof to no avail. I've tried to upload my plan so the authorities here can take a look and tell me what super simple thing I have neglected to do but I am unable to do so. Thanks again for the quick replies, Terese

Hello, I am using HD Architect 2016. When I try to remove a now un-wanted porch, some interesting things are happening. Not only does a wall appear outside the house, but my second floor windows also disappear in Full Overview although they are still present in plan view. Awesome! I've been playing with the walls to see if something was misaligned or the room attributes were off but nothing so far has fixed the issue. I have attached pics of the Full Overview with the porch and without it. I have also attached the plan view showing the wall outside the house between the closet and utility room. Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks, Terese

Kbird, that's exactly what tech support said to do by going into the Manufacturer Libraries on my computer and deleting the files and then also deleting them from the Reference Library. Unfortunately, it didn't work as the catalog never made it into the Reference Library. I'm waiting for a response.

I have HD Architect 2016. In the last few days, I've had a problem with the manufacturer catalogs I have downloaded from the site. Specifically, the Corian countertop, Boral countertop and Coronado Stone files not only say "no texture" in my library but they also render without texture. Also, the latest update isn't updating. I don't know if that is related. Any help would be appreciated!

Okay. I am using the wrong tool. It took me a while but I found it. I sincerely wish the tutorials said where to find these buttons. I didn't think to look at the bottom left of my screen. Thanks for the quick reply!

I'm following the Creating A Split Level Entry tutorial using HD Architectural 2016. Things are fine until I get the "Only one stair section can connect to a single landing edge" and I try to break the landing according to the instructions. Try as I might, I cannot get the landing to break. I can get walls to break, no problem, but the landing simply refuses. What am I missing? Any assistance is appreciated! (I did manage to make a split level entry using 2 landings. But that approach led to some other, just-as-frustrating, issues.) Thanks
