  1. Thanks! Auto build was unchecked. Probably I unchecked it when I was trying to avoid having to manually redo the joists on the 1st floor which I had changed the direction of. Rebuilt the framing and the door is framed correctly, and I am getting pretty quick on the manual redo of the joists! Almost there now, only need to do the elevations and dimensioning and off to zoning for permits!
  2. Solved the issue, but have another question. The solution for the framing to display issue was to delete all framing and follow the instructions for a 1-1/2 story home. If you don't explicitly say the roof was to ignore the 2nd floor when created program assumed 2nd floor was an attic. All went well until I put the exterior door in the 2nd floor unfinished storage area. It all looks pretty, but no framing for the door was created. No changes at all to the framing, see the attached. Any thoughts, it's most likely obvious what I am missing, just not to me at the moment!
  3. Have finally reached an agreement with a contractor for a 1st floor master bedroom suite addition. Working on the elevations to submit for permits and for the contractor. I have a problem I can't solve. I cannot get the framing in the 2nd floor gable end to be visible. I am not sure how that wall was built without framing or if it was what I did to make it go away! Attached screenshots show some wall framing can be seen on the 2nd floor, just not what I need. Have done the Build all framing numerous times, have checked the defaults, all to no avail. Every time I used the Build All Framing tool had to manually change the direction of the floor joists in the addition back to match what is in place. I am getting real good at that! House original framing is mixed, in the main section it is oriented like you would expect, but in the entry section it is the other way. The 2nd floor will continue to be an unfinished storage/ home mechanical space, hence the door up high. Greatly appreciate all advice.
