Keith, Thank you for the tip. I would've never thought about a puck light, and since it's on the electrical layer it works!

I have a one layer kitchen island and need to add an air switch on top of the counter, next to the faucet, for the garbage disposal. How can one be added, so it can be seen on the electrical plan? Here's a pic of an example,

I've created a template project, so I can just duplicate it, draw the new house and all my sheets will be set up. But, when clicking on the layouts on the sheets, they reference to the original project's folders .plan. I've created this template so all the files that are the same, for each project, are already created and I can then just change the information. For example, each project has notes and schedules. Instead of having to delete each drawing, on each sheet, can I just select the drawing (on the sheet) and change the reference to the new project's folder .plan?

Sorry by my response. I thought you were wanting me to change the panel door to match the bifold door. I didn't know you could select a panel door for a bifold door. IT WORKED! I really appreciate the help.

Rookie65, Sorry, I can't use P05. P09 is the look I have in my current house, and that's the style I'd like to use for this build. I just like the design. P09 must be the standard builders use. Since I wanted to keep that style I wanted to show the matching bifold doors on my plan.

I'm using P09 as my default hinged interior door. But, there's not a B09 style in bifold doors, to match. Do you know where I can get the same style Bifold Door as the standard Panel Door P09? I've searched Chief Architect 3D Library for doors and didn't see any bifold doors.

I'm sending multiple interior elevation views to one sheet. Why do all the scales change to the last scale I sent? I've sent one drawing in 1/2" scale. Then, when I create a new drawing and change the dimension scale to 1" it sends the drawing to the sheet as 1". BUT, the other drawing, that was sent in 1/2" scale automatically changes to 1" scale. How can I show different scales on one sheet?

I'm trying to indicate a portion of a dimensioned wall plan to indicate expanded view. I've drawn a box with a hatch, then added a blocking box inside. But, the blocking box covers the floor plan. What are you guys doing to indicate expanded view?

In the library, for A/C, I'm only seeing 2-way, 3-way, and 4-way registers, is there not a 1-way register? How about return air filter grilles?

I've changed all my text defaults, but am having trouble with one. Electrical Component Text. Locations I have changed text: 1. Default Settings > Text, Callouts, Markers 2. Default Settings > Dimensions > Text Style 3. Default Settings > Electrical > (there is no Text option) 4. Shift ~ > Appearance > Font 5. Layers > First, I changed all Electrical Text Styles to Default Label Style I then changed ALL Layers to Default Label Style, no success changing what I "want" to change. If I turn on the layer "Electrical Label" that text style changes. I don't want to use Electrical Labels, as the electrical component already displays what it is, closer to the component. But, the font is chief blueprint. Here's a pic.

Chief Premier came up under a google search. Thanks for giving me this, "Home Designer Knowledge Base." I saved it as a favorite. If you had a link on the words Home Designer, nothing opened. May I ask, "What did you search on the Home Designer Knowledge Base?"

I have arches, above columns, in the dining room. Can Home Designer Pro add arches in soffits? I've found an older post (2010) stating, "you will have to use a polyline solid, or a slab. You can shape them & curve them in plan view." (How would this be done, if soffits can't be adjusted?) This is what I've drawn, with soffits. This is what I want to achieve. reference: http://www.chieftalk.com/showthread.php?49355-Curved-Soffit

The top is noticeable when the standard 2x4 wall is lowered, by pulling it down, in 3D mode.
