  1. Thanks, that is helpful. I got the same results as you. I can live with the gap in the soffit. That is better than the roof being totally wrong. I just have to get the entire rest of the roof set the way I want it before I do that last adjustment, like you said. I have worked in 3D cad for mechanical engineering for 20 years, so I am accustomed to doing a work around here and there. This being my first effort in Home Designer I am trying to duplicate my own house to get familiar with the software.
  2. If I bump out the rear garage wall so it is no longer flush with the house wall, this is what it should look like: As soon as I make the rear garage wall flush with the rear of the house, the roof regenerates like this:

    Roof question

    Please forgive me, I am a newbie to Home Designer. Having trouble with getting a section of roof to look right. Trying to tie in the garage roof with the second story of the house. How do I get the roof line on the back wall to look like the roof line on the front wall?
