  1. I came across a new iOS App called Canvas by Occipital that will allow a 3D scan of an area that can be uploaded to their site to be processed and then sent back within a couple of business days as a 3D file. They mention Revit, SketchUp and Chief Architect that generated my interest. It appears on their website www.canvas.io that it will output Chief Architect at $0.15/sqft (includes a 3D .plan, 3D .dwg, and 3D .dae file), or 2020 at $0.15/sqft (includes a 3D .kit, 3D .dwg, and 3D .dae file). The however is that it shows up elsewhere that it does not support the Home Designer Pro. The work around may be to get an Autocad.dwg file as a 2d and then build the layout from the plan view. The price difference from the Home Designer Pro to the Chief Architect is quite large to potentially gain this compatibility. Does anyone have any feedback or experience using this new App with the software?
