  1. I'm trying to wrap the brick around the corner in this image so that I have brick below the cedar siding. I'd also like to know the proper way to achieve the 2 siding look here is. For the front portion, I created a railing and configured it to be solid and with break material. Then I drew a wall and manipulated it in the elevation to the correct height on the bottom so it sits on the brick wall.
  2. That was the goal from the beginning, but I can't seem to get the architectural block tool when selecting the front view of the sign. The tool does appear if I select a top view of the sign. There are no numbers attached with the top view of the soffit because I have no idea how to do that. I don't think it can be done. Unless there's a way to rotate 3D object in plan view and I'm just not seeing that option. My 30+ yrs. of AutoCAD brains say you want the 3D block to insert in plan view so when a 3d view is generated you see the front, rear, and visible sides. Which means pick the soffit as viewing it from the top when creating the block. Is there a tool that allows me to rotate a 3D object. Both of DJPs offering make sense and I can accomplish either of them quite easily.
  3. Thanks for the quick response. When you say make an image. Would that be an image outside of Home Designer Pro, saved as an image file (bmp, jpg, png)? I considered the download.
  4. I thought I'd try to make a house number yard sign from a soffit and then add numbers to what would be the front face. That part was easy. How do I create a group or block of it? Or is there another approach? J. Logan Home Designer Pro 2021
  5. I want to match the color of the brick to the color of the board and batten siding (blueish grey). The cedar siding when viewed in the materials selection dialog is the color of the deck. But clearly isn't the case in the elevation itself. How do I match colors? I've tried to set the brick and cedar colors based on the settings in the define materials dialog but it doesn't change them. It acts like it's going through the motions, but no go. 7. I have a 2 story house with full basement. I'm trying to rotate the entire home on the site but can only rotate 1 floor at a time. How do I move or rotate all floors at the same time? Home designer 2022
  8. Thanks for the video. That helped a lot. I keep forgetting you can edit individual objects like you did there. I've never even seen the panel where you adjusted the footing height. Thanks again.
  9. I'm trying to duplicate the condition shown in the attached interior slab footing detail. Just can't seem to get the garage floor to be lower then the interior concrete slab. I also don't understand why I have one exterior wall that is taller than all others. Home Designer Pro 2021. Accessory Dwelling unit.zip
  10. I had my steps going the wrong way. Rotated them 180. It helps to read "UP" and look at the arrow.
  11. I'm guessing I use a slab to create the outside corner step. I can't seem to find a way to do it using the stairs tool. Any suggestions J. Home Designer Pro 2021 Windows 10
