I have managed to do the above now, its  all about knowing where to look for the right tool within the software .

 Just a quick question do you know a work round to bring a external door Frame to the out side brickwork on cavity brickwork ,

so that would be 100mm brick x cavity fill 100mm x block 100mm

Hi all,

I am  importing  a location plan  ordnance survey 1:1250 dwg file 

It is 1:1  I want to draw over the top of the existing.  I thought that I would just be able to draw with wall tool  but the scale is total out between  the import and drawing tool , I have tried setting the right scale on sheets size but to no avail 

can any one help. Please 

 I know I can import pdf and trace over top 

but would like to use dwg file 

Eric, sorry about the spelling (Height ) . Ok  if you select a bow window I can just the width to the size I require   but I can not just the HEIGHT ?

I can not find any options to alter in settings

I am trying to alter the frame hight,  I can not find how to do it it seems to be fixed,  I can alter the width ( bow window )

 Can you tell me why live view detriates when you send to layout ?
I want the quality of live view  printed to layout and then to pdf .
 the same quality if you do a screen shot and send to pdf 
 I think this is a fundamental necessity  for the hole process to be able to print off acceptable drawings !
 even if you set to plot options the there is still a lack of defined lines ,clarity

Hi Eric, Thank you for your time,  If I go into the roof plan specification  , materials , facia, alter materials  and replace the image file. with angled brick would that work  , just trying to find or create a image , not sure how to do it

Will altering the material in roof facia work? I don't no how to alter material image angle yet !
