  1. Just in case anyone is interested, I also found an online tool called pattycake which will allow you to create your own .pat file or pattern file that you can then import into home designer pro and use when creating a material. Here is my variable exposure lap siding. Brian variable exposure lap siding.calibz
  2. This is great, thank you so much. But I have to know, how did you create the pattern? Brian
  3. Thank you for trying, but my version could not import that library file. Creating the new material was easy it is trying to create a "Pattern Type" that has me stumped. Brian
  4. Unfortunately, I can only view this material by going to 3D>Materials>Plan Materials and there is no way to export from there. Can not figure out how to get this new material added to the library. Brian
  5. This has been driving me nuts... I want to create a variable exposure lap siding like the attached pictures. So I am creating a new material and I have created a new texture, attached, but for the life of me can not figure out how to create a new pattern so all the 3D renderings are correct. Any ideas? Brian
  6. I knew this was going to be the answer after the searching that I did before making this post. Was just hoping someone had a workaround. I will get to work recreating the terrain elements in the plan containing the house. Thank you for your answers.
  7. I have created a very detailed terrain layout of my building lot in one plan and have designed my house in another plan. If I copy and paste the terrain onto my house plan it shows in 2d but not when I look at the orthographic view. If I copy and paste the house plan onto the terrain plan Home Designer Pro edits floor and ceiling heights. Any thoughts on how to get these into a single plan. I have also tried exporting the plans as dwg files and importing them into one plan but that does not seem to work either. I am using Home Designer Pro 2020. Thank you in advance.... Brian
