Thanks Dave, but I do not have a flat ceiling, the current truss are scissors type with the ceiling following the underside slant of the truss. I want to add additional trusses below this current ceiling that are decorative.

Using HD Pro 2015, have created a vaulted ceiling with roof trusses above, ceiling has v board under trussses. Want to add four decorative beam king post trusses below ceiling. One on each end of room and two spaced evenly between.

Created a front porch with shed roof, rails and posts. Want the edge of roof higher, and as such want the posts to reach higher. How do this?
