Home Designer Suite is really slow

I just bought Home Designer Suite to develop and landscaping plan for a new property we purchased. 

 

I have a MacBook Pro (15 inch 2016) with a 2.6GHz Intel Core 7 processor with 16GB memory, a Radeon Pro 450 with 2GB and a 500GB hard drive (60% free). 

 

Home Designer Suite is slow. Moving the mouse results in jerky step like movements of the cursor on the screen. Displaying in 3d takes several seconds, and trying to move in 3d is jerky too.

 

Does Home Designer Suite not work well in Mac?
