I just figured out my own question above. Just took a little more time playing with it.

I am trying to draw a shed style patio cover with a gable peak in the center. It will be a cover with exposed rafters and T&G sheathing. I'm having difficulty making the roof pitches line up and connect correctly. what is the best recommended way to create this style roof? Attached is my rough drawing and a picture. Please advise.
