I have a split level house with a basement and a slightly lower elevation in the back and need to learn how to use Suite 2017 to model this. Can someone please point me to a good tutorial for this subject. I know that some folks have posted videos on various subjects.

I guess you get what you pay for At the moment I need to place a replicated dormer on the other side of the roof. I've also wanted to mirror other objects including furniture, cabinets, staircases and even an entire floor plan. I need to precisely rotate a scanned image of my plat. The ability to mirror, make parallels/perpendicular are all basics features that I must have if I continue with this software.

On a similar topic... can anyone confirm that you must have Pro version to mirror an object. Transform replicate seems to be the method which is only available in Pro, Also need to rotate objects with precision. Seems I need Transform Replicate to do that also.

Well that's disappointing and likely very intentional. I'm not sure I'm that impressed yet. If dimensioning and terrain features don't vastly improve as I learn the tool, it will not be a long term investment for me. Thankfully my project is small.

Ok... maybe this is easy but I've searched the knowledge base and still can't figure out why I am unable to select multiple windows and make global edits. When I select more than one window the open object is not available.

Sorry... just so I don't confuse anyone. As suggested the Full Camera does exactly what I needed. Thanks again for the reference to the Knowledge Base. Good resource will use first before I post question.

Yes I was aware that everything was visible with the full camera. Ok,,, just read the knowledge base section on cameras and now know that floor camera only shows the floor on which you place the camera. I was hoping to visualize how the open cathedral ceiling would look. Maybe I'll see what the walk through feature does. Thanks for the replies. I'm sure I'll be asking something else again,

I added shed dormers to roof. When I view in glass house they are there but when I view in floor camera view they disappear. I am using Home Designer Suite 2017. I have attached my file. Please be kind...just started this weekend with this tool. RentalPosted.plan
