Oh my! Figured it out by changing to full camera view. Phew!

Although I have a second floor, I can not understand why when I created a stairwell for my stairs coming from the first floor the 3d views only show the stairs leading to grass and skyline! 3D views from both the first and second floor are showing this. What did I do wrong?
