Is it possible to set default settings globally so that they are the same for every plan? I always set my dimensions to inches, always to measure off the surface and I never want a roof or auto exterior dimensions (I just do interiors). Any thoughts?

I am in the middle of working on a bathroom. If you add up the interior dimensions running down the right side of the drawing (walls are 4.5" - don't include perimeter walls) it adds up to 153.5" - why is the overall measurement showing one inch less? I have deleted this dimension and did CAD interior dimensions again, and it still comes up an inch short. What is going on and how do I fix it?
