  1. Hi all Just to let you know I am trying to set up a UK & EU Chief and Home Designer Pro users group. If you are interested, let me know and go to the Chief Architect forum (Chief Talk) and find us under the Local User Groups section. We all know that the software is primarily aimed at the North American market. However, with the growing popularity of online conferencing, there is much we can do to customise the software, to suit local needs and increase our productivity when using these two brilliant products. 3. Hi Robbie I am based in the UK and like you I am looking for HDP users locally ... . More than happy to link up with you to share HDP experiences. I have been using HDP for nearly 10 years. In any case we have similar design standards (and in metric!). Regards George
  4. Thanks David In previous versions of HD PRO I would send my views, plans, sections, elevations etc to Layout at say 1:100 scale then import into Autocad (via DXF) and scale up by 100 and hey presto my Autocad file was at 1:1. Somehow they have changed or removed this facility, presumably to make exporting to AutoCAD more clumsy. Maybe I am being cynical!
  5. In HD PRO 2016 I was able to send any view, plan, elevation or section to Layout and then export from Layout to DXF. It worked well. A strange thing happens when I try to do this in HD PRO 2017. The plan views transfer to DXF without a problem but the elevations are blank. Not a single line in an elevation view gets transferred to DXF (from Layout). However, if I export the elevations, one at a time, directly to DXF (ie. not sending to Layout first) then no problem. Am I missing something here, a setting perhaps? I have been using HDP since version 8. Any thoughts? Elgreco --------------------------------- HDPRO 2017 Windows 10 64 bit, Core i5 3.30Gz CPU, 24Gb RAM, RADEON HD 6800 Graphics
  6. Hi Keith I think I understand what you are trying to do. If you open both files (plans) and select Window>Tile Vertically you will have both plans side by side. A shorcut to this is to hit SHIFT-F6. I am based in the UK so it would be good to swap ideas (in Metric of course!) Rgds elgreco
