Can anyone tell me why my window labels don't correctly show the size of the window. On a 32" x 48" window the label shows 2840. Shouldn't it be 3248?

I am creating a 1 story house with a basement. (Home Designer Pro 2016) My problem is... When I'm viewing the basement (in 3D), and look up the stairwell, the first floor disappears..... just sky/background. Also.. when I'm on the first floor (3D), and look down the stairwell, the basement disappears. !? Can anybody tell me why?
