I have not updated for a few years as I am a kitchen and bath designer and have used many cad programs over the last 35 years. I have been working on a house design of my own and paid for Home Pro- have had several updates and now to get to 2026 I have to update to annual from a perpetual. The whole reason I choose Chief Architect and the suite line was that it was NOT a Annual subscription! I could use the product for various purposes without paying monthly or yearly like all the other cad programs. I am disappointed to see this happen. I think that it is a money grab for all CAD companies to make it all a subscription base!
