I am having a persistent issue using the Cross Section/Elevation tool in Home Designer Pro When attempting to create a cross-section on the second floor of my story-and-a-half house (specifically to measure knee wall heights), the tool fails to cut where I draw the line. No matter where I draw the cross-section line on the overhead 2D floor plan (along any axis/direction), the resulting 3D view is always an orthographic exterior elevation that is a cut through the forward-facing garage on the first floor. It will not generate an interior cross-section view of the walls or roof framing as intended.

Using HD Pro 2024 and struggling to build this shed dormer on back of house. Here’s what it’s supposed to look like. Here’s where I’m at in HD, and software won’t let me build a roof over this room? I get this error and software locks up if I hit OK. I.ve attached the plan file if that helps. Any help building this shed dormer would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Plan 7877 (r2-ver5).plan

I spent the whole evening unsuccessfully trying to figure this out. Learned tons of news things about using the Transform/Replicate tool to move Roof Planes up & down in the Z-axis but can’t figure out how to get away from a hip roof to a shed roof with siding on the side?

How would I draw this roof line for front of my house in HD Pro 24? This is the view of what it’s supposed to look like from back of the house This is front view that I drew obviously wrong

Using Home Designer Pro 2024 version and opened today and toolbars are missing. Followed online help and View > Toolbars is checked, but toolbars.are not showing Worked perfectly yesterday?

I am using the stand-alone version of Home Designer Pro 2024 and following the Boot Camp webinar which shows a Library Browser like this But my Library Browser looks like this and shows no filter results Following the troubleshooting guide it suggests my Core Libraries aren’t installed but when I go to Library > Install Core Content I get this Where do I go next?

Just to close the loop I contacted tech support and found out my Graphic Card driver was needing updated. Problem solved and thanks for your support

I recently purchased the stand-alone version of Home Designer Pro 2024 and am about two weeks into learning the software by following the YouTube “Quick Start Demo.” Drawing exterior and interior walls has been straightforward, but I’m running into an issue with 3D views. When I switch to Doll House View, instead of the 3D view shown in the demo, I get a blank white screen. If I zoom in or out, I see a blue plane, but I can’t figure out how to generate the proper 3D model. The same thing happens when I use Full Camera View. Interestingly, if I use Orthographic Doll House View, it seems to work correctly. Has anyone else run into this issue, and is there a setting or step I might be missing to make the Doll House and Full Camera views display properly?
