  1. I don't think it will let me do custom landings... if it did, where would they be? I've looked around in a landing object, nothing obvious. It *does* do split landings for u-type stairs; perhaps I could fool it with 2 truncated u-type stairs and regular stairs inbetween, and somehow adjust the base heights.... seems unlikely to work
  2. Side question: how do I enclose the area under the stairs as a closet?
  3. I have stairs with two split (winder) landings (broad U, not the narrow U Home Designer does). I.e. 2 steps, split landing, 6 steps, split landing, 1 step and then a top landing outside a door. (see diagram) How can I set this up to work in Home Designer (2022)? U-shaped stairs can have split landings, but I need flights of steps in the middle of the U. I figured out how to build it roughly without the split landings, and that's ok-ish, but I'd like it to be more accurate if I can. Thanks!
  4. Thanks - I had already tried that, and added doors, starting at the existing 2nd floor. However, it did not create additional 2nd-floor rooms, and Open Object shows either 0-height walls or gable walls. 3d view shows basically exterior with doors in the middle of gables. Home Designer Suite 2022 FYI
  5. I tried drawing walls/doors that connect as indicated, but there's no floor, and the walls are triangular, same as the existing automatic gable walls, and the roof is still in the old place. (I think automatic roof is turned off, since it was 'fun' getting the roof somewhere near correct given the complex nature of the house)
  6. I have a house with one 2nd floor section; most is one story (with some floor height differences in different areas, some cathedral ceilings in ares). I want to add a 2nd floor over part of the house adjacent to the existing 2nd floor area. In this area, there are some existing 2nd-story automatically-generated walls (for gables). I can't delete them; I can't replace them with new 2nd-floor walls. How do I fix this without deleting my 2nd floor and starting from scratch (which would be a massive pain; the house i ... complex). Thanks!
