I had the same issue trying to make custom Office Furniture fit specific dimensions. I ended up using the cabinet tools, then adjusted parts in the component level to get the shelves and drawers how I wanted. Once I got one piece right, I saved it to my library so I could reuse or tweak it later. Makes it way easier if you’re doing a whole matching set.
