  1. Are you referring to Default Dimension - Locate Object - Openings - Rough Openings Check Box? If not can you provide additional info on the setting you are referring to? Thanks
  2. All, Using home Designer Pro 2025. For this example, I have specified a Large Rough Opening Clearance gap of 3" on Sides, Top and Bottom. I am trying to create a ICF foundation Layout and include dimensions for the Window/Door Bucks. In the Elevation and 3D Perspective Full View the rough opening shows up, but it does not appear to show in the Floor Plan view. Thought the plan layout would display the rough opening (space between window frame and concrete) in the foundation wall. Thanks in Advance
  3. That worked perfectly! Thank You Very Much!
  4. Agree, the specialized crew/contractor will adapt (framers/plumbers/electricians...). In this case the actual wall design is not one typical framers deal with. My current design is based on “Joseph Lstiburek’ perfect wall: https://buildingscience.com/documents/insights/bsi-001-the-perfect-wall Basic wall is 2x4 16" O.C. frame with a DIY SiP panel (ZIP, 4" Poly ISO, ZIP) attached with long SIP/Insulation screws to the studs. In this case I need double/backer stud positioned 4 feet O.C. (to accept long SIP/Insulation Screws at vertical ZIP panel joints). Again,Just curious if the Copy/Paste is User Error (not knowing how its done), Home Designer Pro limitation (have seen this come up/limited CA feature) or slim chance a bug. Thanks
  5. Appreciate the suggestion/workaround. Actually tried that earlier and was able to add the post to the wall. Just curious if the Copy/Paste is User Error (not knowing how its done), Home Designer Pro limitation (have seen this come up/limited CA feature) or slim chance a bug. Thank You
  6. For this example created a New Plan (Default Style). Home Designer Pro 2025. Build Wall (Exterior), checked Layer Display Options "Framing, Wall" to show wall studs. Selected a single wall stud object and Copy "Ctrl+C" Then paste "Ctrl-V". Question Window Displayed: Selected "Yes" to turn off Automatic Wall Framing." Warning Window Displayed: Wall stud/framing objects can be edited/moved but unable to add/paste. In the 3D Perspective Framing View, I am able to modify/move framing. Again get same Warning when trying to copy/paste a new framing object (stud). Warning Message Appreciate any assistance/guidance to resolve. Thanks Similar thread/question asked here, but does not seem to resolve....
  7. Hello, New to the forum and have been working on a home design using Home Designer Pro 2025. The site is on a sloped lot (slopes down ~10' East to West and ~2' down South to North), House is a contemporary with shed roof (4:12 pitch main roof and 3:12 pitch roof on garage and Southeast bump out. House has full walkout basement and slab garage. I am having a difficult time with common wall that connects the garage and house. Three parts: 1. Exterior Wall facing West on the garage 2. Exterior Wall facing East on the house 3. Common Wall Interior for lower portion and East facing Exterior for upper section. Issues with current design: 1. Foundation for entire wall does not line up (.i.e. step). 2. Attic walls do not appear to generate accurately. 3. Roof overhangs are missing. Please advise best way to correct these issues. Thanks in advance. Test 1.dwg Attic.pdf 1st Floor.pdf Foundation.pdf East Arial.pdf
