  1. I am running HDS Architectural 2025 and am trying to add some blinds to my windows. I go into the Library Browser and look for blinds and have selected the vertical 24" blind. I can select it and click on my window to apply the blind but, for the life of me, I cannot work out how to select the blind to change it's size (it always seems to be shorted than the length of the window). Whenever I click on the blind it always selects the window, I've tried using the Tab key to select the next object but that doesn't work either. I've tried this in the Cross Section/Elevation view and also in Camera view without luck. Any ideas? Thanks
  2. Thank you so much, that was extremely helpful. I had only been selecting either a room or a wall and painting it so using the Material Painter helped enormously. Thanks.
  3. May I ask how you painted them please?
  4. Hi, I am running HDS 2025 and have hit a problem when trying to paint rooms that contain a room divider. I have attached a simple plan where I used a room divider to have one side with an 8' ceiling and the other side with a 12' ceiling. When I paint the rooms I notice 2 problems. Firstly, a small strip where the room divider is always comes out as white and I cant find a way to stop this - not a big problem, maybe a software issue? More importantly though, I cannot find a way to paint the wall between the rooms where it drops from 12' to 8'. Does anyone know how to do this please? Maybe I should be using something other than a room divider.... Thanks Painting.plan
  5. Ok, thanks. I just assumed it would show it as part of the lumber requirements. Thanks for your responses.
  6. I was using soffits to create a tray ceiling (as per one of the videos). A tray ceiling requires framing so is there another way to create it? Thanks
  7. I am running Home Designer Architecture 2025 and am having a problem with soffits. I can create a simple soffit along a wall and it shows up in every 3D Camera view except for the Framing Overview. I have tried turning on all of the framing options under Display Options but still no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I don't know what! Any ideas? Thanks, Phil
  8. Thanks. I'm running 2025 HD Architecture. I have tried changing the default dimensions "Locate Wall Dimensions At" from Main Wall Layer to Surface but, so far as I can see, this makes no difference to any measurement. What's the difference?
  9. When I set a room type it displays the dimensions of the room but this does not agree with the dimensions shown by the Interior Dimensions tool, they are 1" smaller on each axis. I assume this is because the room type display is measuring the room from drywall to drywall and the dimension tool is measuring from framing to framing. Is there a way to change the way the interior dimension tool measures so that it is drywall to drywall?
