Thank you so much, that was extremely helpful. I had only been selecting either a room or a wall and painting it so using the Material Painter helped enormously. Thanks.

May I ask how you painted them please?

Hi, I am running HDS 2025 and have hit a problem when trying to paint rooms that contain a room divider. I have attached a simple plan where I used a room divider to have one side with an 8' ceiling and the other side with a 12' ceiling. When I paint the rooms I notice 2 problems. Firstly, a small strip where the room divider is always comes out as white and I cant find a way to stop this - not a big problem, maybe a software issue? More importantly though, I cannot find a way to paint the wall between the rooms where it drops from 12' to 8'. Does anyone know how to do this please? Maybe I should be using something other than a room divider.... Thanks Painting.plan

Ok, thanks. I just assumed it would show it as part of the lumber requirements. Thanks for your responses.

I was using soffits to create a tray ceiling (as per one of the videos). A tray ceiling requires framing so is there another way to create it? Thanks

I am running Home Designer Architecture 2025 and am having a problem with soffits. I can create a simple soffit along a wall and it shows up in every 3D Camera view except for the Framing Overview. I have tried turning on all of the framing options under Display Options but still no luck. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious but I don't know what! Any ideas? Thanks, Phil

Thanks. I'm running 2025 HD Architecture. I have tried changing the default dimensions "Locate Wall Dimensions At" from Main Wall Layer to Surface but, so far as I can see, this makes no difference to any measurement. What's the difference?

When I set a room type it displays the dimensions of the room but this does not agree with the dimensions shown by the Interior Dimensions tool, they are 1" smaller on each axis. I assume this is because the room type display is measuring the room from drywall to drywall and the dimension tool is measuring from framing to framing. Is there a way to change the way the interior dimension tool measures so that it is drywall to drywall?
