I am using Pro 2024. Can you split an existing roof plane in two?

Yes, but only on the part of the roof that is inside (or covered by another section of roof). it would be nice if you could split the roof into sections.

I am building a new house and my design uses gable roofs. There are two(2) places where I have cathedral ceilings where parts of the cathedral ceiling are under parts of other roofs. My problem is I want to maintain the framing and ceiling of those roofs but do not want the roofing material on those sections of the roof that are under another section of roof. The attached picture should show my dilemma. the 1st picture shows the portion under another gable and the 2nd picture shows the portion outside the other gable. Thanks in advance for any help on this,
