  1. I'm using Home Designer Pro 2024 and have put so much time into this garage plan. I'm trying to get the views saved and put to a layout to submit to the county for approval and my builder for a price. I'm hung up on displaying a wall section, as it seems that the only thing that displays with any of the orthogonal clips are the framing. I have built a stem foundation consisting of a footer and three courses of 8" wide CMU with a 4" slab. Then on top of the stem wall I have a pony wall 36" high, consisting of 6" wide CMW with brick facing. On top of that I have the framing. The only thing that shows up in any elevation is the framing. I don't see any cross section of anything below the framing, no pony wall, and no stem wall. I have turned on Foundation in the display layer options. I have default set to display in plan view. What am I missing? I keep coming back and struggling with this and am stuck. Thank you. Mike
  2. I'm confused on how to proceed. I've spent a lot of time laying out a 41' x 36' three car garage the way I like it. That was my motivation for renting Home Designer Pro. I'm at the point where I want to create building plans to submit to my builder for a quote and to the county for approval, however there are a number of code related detail views that I'm not familiar with. I looked online and there is a company that sells basic plans with the applicable views to pass code (what plan reviewers are typically looking for), and I really don't know how to proceed there, unless I use that information as a template and draw it out somehow. Is there a way in the product that these detailed views can be automatically created? I've attached an image as an example of what I'm talking about. I'm good with showing the elevations and the overall plan, but the truss details and the other details don't seem obvious to me.
