Is there an easy way to draw a small deck shaped like a disk with a flattened side about 9 feet long that is nailed to the wall?
This design is sometimes called a "keyhole deck". It is about 30 inches above grade, about 12 feet diameter, and resembles a disk with one edge flattened to fit against the wall.
The surface is 5/4 decking.
The stair has the stringers splayed to be wider at the bottom than at the top to complete the keyhole shape when viewed from above.
I got the idea from a Creative Homeowner book Deck Designs: great ideas from top deck designers, by Steve Cory.
