I managed to lose a house plan.  I have a copy of it in the 3D viewer.  Is there some way to import it back into Home Designer?

In 2D I can't seem to place a rug.  I select the rug then try to click it into place and nothing happens.  If I use 3D the material painter is the default.

Trying to place a rug, however once I select the rug the material painter seems to be the default (not select object) which ends up covering my entire floor with the rug.  How do I get out of the material painter?
