  1. Thanks! I don't know how I missed it. I think I saw a couple of years ago that there wasn't an option so I wasn't expecting to find it and only saw the in-ground pools...
  2. I searched several times and only found in-ground pools. It it a custom content addition?
  3. I have Home Designer Pro 2025 and wanted to depict our 27' above gound pool that we have a deck built around. I couldn't find a way to create an above ground pool so I 1) Created a CAD circle line 2) Converted the CAD line to a terrain wall and specified the height. 3) Created a round pond - 56" from terrain to top and 56" thick - slightly smaller diameter than the CAD/Terrain wall 4) Put the pond in the terrain wall with initial color, etc. 5) Selected both and made an architectural block and added it to my gallery It works - shadows display, etc. but it is a bit crude - although I will update it if there is no better way. Is this approach the only viable way?
  4. I currently have the 2024 architectural version. I "thought" that the major distinction between the premier line and the Pro version was that premier was for true architects / professionals so productivity tools makes perfect sense, but not really for the home designer line. I was thinking of upgrading to Pro 2025 so that I would at least be able to do anything the software was capable of - minus the options that professionals would need - macros, productivity tools, professional layout sheets, etc. I just want to use the software to build out my current house and create models of additions we are considering. Unfortunately, I do have a wacky roof design - done by the previous owner that didn't consult an architect so I am hoping the pro version will allow my to do whatever the premier line would allow from a roof design perspective.
  5. Thanks @Rookie65Architectural does have 3 different kind of Pony Walls - straight, curved, and straight glass. I just don't see how to change my foundation walls to that type. Could architectural support that wall type but not for foundation walls? Well, I can delete each wall after creating the foundation and then draw a pony wall in it's place. There just doesn't seem to be a way to specify that type when building the foundation. Additionally, I can select any foundation wall and open the dialog and change to almost any other type - just pony walls aren't an option. Anyway, deleting each and recreating as a ponywall is not too hard. I also changed the pony wall default to match what I want. It just seems like kind of a bug to allow the functionality but make it "look" like it isn't an option for a foundation wall.

  7. I have HD Architectural 2024 and am trying to build out my raised ranch basement as concrete roughly 44" high and then framing - siding on the outside and drywall on the inside. I can't seem to find how to do this. I even looked in foundation defaults, but I didn't see an option to do this such as using a pony wall - if that is what I should do. I'm not an architect obviously. How should I do this?
