How do I create a room out of my attic? When I add a second floor it doubles the height of the building. I simply want to use the attic as the second floor. I have dormers in place and stairs waiting for a floor to punch through. However, I can't figure out how to create a floor in the attic to punch through without adding a second story. When I add a second floor, the attic I want to use as the second floor becomes a third floor...but still with no floor. Any person over the age of 8 or so can probably easily solve this issue, but I'm old....and clueless. Please help!
