So after more fiddling I have come to the conclusion that this isn't possible in Architectural. I really don't see the value in buying Pro for this very small roof change so if there is someone who would be willing to do that change for a reasonable fee let me know (assuming such a thing is possible). If you are reading this and would like to be that person, shoot me a PM. Thanks!
Hey guys!
So all has been going well my my home design until I turned on "Auto rebuild roofs" to connect to portions of roofs that wouldn't otherwise connect. When I did so I lost one of my gable walls and I can't seem to get it back to matter what settings I set. I have confirmed that the walls themselves have the same settings they did before.
Can anyone help? Files and screenshots below. I also shot a video which might make it more clear. Thanks in advance!
Here are links to my files (they were too big to upload here):

That's a great suggestion but unfortunately did not work. It creates a weird space that doesn't need to be there and isn't present in the front.
Here is the back.

So I got one of the dormers to work by running the wall on the inside.
The other still doesn't work. Here is a little video that will maybe throw a little light on the problem.
Ha if only I could, when I attempt to connect them (by dragging them together) I get the error above (Cannot build walls because existing walls are in the way.
I am in Home Designer Architectural, I'll add it to my sig.
Hey all, as the title implies I have created these two dormers and connected them with interior walls but from reason I can't select just the dormer area because the walls don't fully connect. What am I doing wrong? TIA!
ETA I am using Architectural
When I attempt to drag it over I get this:
