I AM ASKING THIS QUESTION WITH MORE INFO. I am using Pro17. I need builtin gas grills to insert into an indoor Kitchen. The SOLVER, lead me to KB 00888. I have tried to follow it about 20 times. I downloaded Sketchup app. Logged in, searched and found gas grills, selected the picture, select the new one and clicked download, it loads into my down load folder. I open HD, and my plan, File-import, import symbol file, select the item and open. I get an error msg. " This SKP file was created in an incompatible software version." I do not get the SYMBOL SPECIFICATION DIALOG to open as the instruction say will happen. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for any help, Bill

I have gone thru the knowledge base article on importing 3D items. I am missing something. When I go to open the item on the IMPORT command, it tells me , This SKP file was created in an incompatible software version. One note I do not get the "SYMBOL SPECIFICATION" box to open when I use the IMPORT command. I can see the imported items in my DOWNLOADS folder. I have spent 3 hours trying to get this to work. I go to sketchup, find the gas grills, download them, using their download button. Then I open HD, open my plan, go to file, click the import, a box opens, I go to downloads, and try to open one of the grills that are there. I get the msg. above. Thanks, Bill

I am trying to import gas grills from sketchup warehouse, but it keeps telling me it is the wrong version and can not import. Do you have an idea how to get this to work, or where I could import gas grills from? I have pro 17 When I use import command I get a different box to open, than is on the training video. The video may be an older version. THANKS, Bill

I am using pro 17. I found a post that shows using a custom countertop to build the surround. Is this the best way to build one. I need a triangle shaped surround. I tried a soffit but could not change it to a triangle. My customer is keeping the tub, I just need to put it in my plan. I am on a MAC, and have another question. I have pro 15, 16 and 17 on it. Can I delete the old versions or will I loose part of the program, if I do it? I tried to move the 15 to trash but it would not go to trash. Thanks, Bill

I AM USING PRO 16. I WANT TO FIND OUT HOW TO SHOW DECK FRAMING. I CAN BUILD DECKS EASY. BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO DISPLAY THE FLOOR FRAMING. I HAVE WATCHED VIDEOS ALL DAY TRYING TO FIND THE ANSWER. I CAN SHOW A ROOM FLOOR FRAMING AND ADD BEAMS TO IT. BUT WHEN I USE THE SAME THING BY GOING DOWN TO FOUNDATION LEVEL, THE DECK FRAMING IS NOT THERE. I LIKE TO HAVE THE POST AND FOOTING UNDER THE BAND OF THE DECK, AND NOT USE GIRDERS. THERE DOESN'T SEEM TO BE N EASY WAY TO PLACE POST AND FOOTING WHERE I NEED THEM. THANKS FOR ANY HELP, OR SUGGESTION ON TRAINING VIDEOS TO WATCH. BILL
