Thanks to both of you - now I get the difference. My naive brain this thinking there are two feature requests here: Show the texture panel by default, not the pattern panel Rename patterns as 'vector views"

For some reason my materials are not syncing the color changes. The material "blue/white 2x6" on the backsplash does not show any of the colors selected for the material. The teapot in both views reflects the colors but not the preview or when applied. 0619a.plan

I've been struggling to model our current entry staircase and would appreciate any references or pointers. Our home is a two-level home built custom in 1923 with property line walls immediately abutting our neighbor's walls (zero setback), with a perimeter foundation. The main entry is on the second floor accessed via a front staircase and landing. The area under the staircase and landing are part of the lower level space, with the right stringers part of our exterior wall. Every attempt to model this so far has HD pro insisting on continuing portions of the foundation wall through the staircase in the front and on the right.
