You are correct in your assumptions as to what I am trying to do. You solved my problem. Unfortunately, my Pro version does not seem to have the foundation tools contained in Chief Architect. This conceptional, non-finalized plan shows what I am trying to do for good views of canal and sound waters. Holly Lane Garage with House.plan

Using Home Designer Pro 2020
Have front exterior wall brick veneer with other exterior walls fiber cement boards. Want foundation to have brick outer layer and block inner layer.
How may the front corners be modified so brick walls join?

Do I not have a default setting correct, or is it a software install issue?

I was using manually drawn elements for material choices.
Creating room or deck vs manually drawn parts is apparently the key considering software design logic.
