Good afternoon everyone! I am working on a project and have placed all of my outlets, and now have realized that I put standard outlets rather than decorator outlets. Is there a way that I can change all of them to the different outlets at once, rather than deleting the old one, and placing a new one for the nearly 30 outlets? As a branching question, I am able to restrictively select things, but it grabs switches and outlets as well as any recessed lighting, rather than just the outlets that I want. Is there a better way to do this that I am unaware of?

I've switched it to Buy List, but it still shows buy lengths that are way too long.

I've watched the materials list video from home designer and played around with the material list a bit. One thing that I'm having trouble with is the top and bottom plates in my material list show absurd lengths for purchasing. Such as one length is 501" which is nearly 42'. I don't know of a supplier that has a single board that long or a vehicle other than a semi that could haul it. Is there a way that I can have it split those figures into a maximum of 8',12', or 16'. The only other option I can think of is to individually size each framing plate, which could be quite tedious. Thank you for all of the help, I'm doing my best to become less of a newbie each day.

How? I don't have the option when I'm in framing overview, or from the regular plan view when selecting the wall.

Hello everyone, I am back with another question. In my current project, the majority of the walls I am building will be single top plate and bottom plate, however, there is an existing wall that is load-bearing, so it has a double top plate. Is there a way that I can replicate this in my design? Thanks again for the help!

I thought that might be the answer and honestly, I'm thinking I will. I wasn't sure if that would be a feature that I would get though. As this is more of a hobby rather than my livelihood, it is a little harder to justify. Then again, I have bought power tools that I've used once for the same $300 it would be to upgrade from Arc.

Thank you Eric. Will this also work for other objects? As a follow-up question, is there an efficient way to make multiple lights or objects a set distance from each other, such as I want to have a beam/line every 16" OC or

I'm creating a remodel plan for my basement and I'm trying to get the spacing right for my recessed lighting. I've had a lot of difficulties trying to position the lighting. I've tried to use manual dimensions, but it doesn't always work. As in it will work for 1 light in a row, but the next one can't use that dimension to adjust it. When I have successfully used a dimension to move something I notice the dimension text is gray when it doesn't work it is blue. I've watched a few videos of CA Premier and there are better tools, however, I only have HD Architectural 2020. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
