  1. Can anyone help with a roof truss problem? When I look at a framing perspective the roof is being constructed using a ridge beam, rafters, etc. I would like the perspective to display engineered trusses with 1"x 3" strapping @16" O.C. on the underside to support drywall.

  2. In Home Designer Pro 2020 I'm adding an attached garage to an existing house and having problems with the roof. Both the existing house and the new garage have gable roofs. The garage floor elevation is below the floor of the existing house. When I auto build the roof, one plane of the garage roof adjacent to existing house is extending up to meet the peak of the house rather than the peak of the garage roof. I'm not sure what is causing this and have spent way too much time trying to solve it. I have searched the on line help and watched some webinars and videos but cannot get by this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I don't have images to share at the moment. The problem seems relatively simple and I think I'm just overlooking something since I've been stuck on this for a while. I want to add an attached garage to the driveway end of a bungalow. I want the elevations of the garage footing to match the existing house footing. The driveway (soon to be new garage floor) is 22" below the top of the existing foundation wall.

  4. I am having difficulty with the foundation for an new attached garage addition on an existing house and using Designer Suite 2017. I have designated the addition as a garage and built the foundation. I want the garage foundation footing to be at the same elevation as the existing house footing. The top of stem wall for the garage foundation needs to be lower than the top of house stem wall by about 16". Whenever I try to modify the garage foundation stem wall the changes are also being applied to the existing house foundation. I am a relatively new user and any help would be greatly appreciated.
